This entire area of Dorset is designated as being of outstanding natural beauty and is ideal for long walks.
It lies on the Jurassic coast, which is a world heritage site renowned for its fossils and wonderful cliff formations.
The house lies about a mile and a half from the sea and there are a variety of beaches to choose from.
Bridport, the nearest town, is a mile and a half away and has large street markets twice a week, selling fruit and vegetables, antiques and bric-a-brac.
Activities in the local area include walking, horse riding, go-karting, paint balling, hang gliding, golf/pitch and putt and sailing/fishing to name a few.
There is a wide choice of restaurants and good pubs including one in Symondsbury only 100 metres from the house.
